There’s nothing cold about Winter Cabernet. Only 700 cases produced and consecutive 95pt scores from Robert Parker as well as rousing support from Napa Valley insiders (i.e. French Laundry), Winter Cabernet is being regarded by many as Napa Valley’s hottest new release Winemaking: Hand sorting, and gentle treatment in all processes from fermentation, to bottling, ensures the wine will reach the bottle as a pristine expression of the fruit and appellation. Our wine is made in small batch oak fermenters, basket pressed, and aged entirely in new French oak for a minimum of 24 months. Winemaker: Helen Mawson~ born and raised in Manawatu New Zealand, Helen studied at the Auckland School of Art in New Zealand before venturing into her career in the Wine industry. In 2002 Helen was hired on as assistant winemaker for Vineyard 29 working directly with Philippe Melka at the Winery. Helen became our principal winemaker for WINTER in 2004 She currently is working as our winemaker and assistant winemaker to Jayson Woodbridge at Hundred Acre
