Formed in March 2006, Vintage Point offers a full range of winery services and a national sales and marketing team that specialize in placing luxury wines in the optimal retail and restaurant outlets. As a launching point for new brand concepts, Vintage Point’s launched or played significant roles in the growth of Josh, Layer Cake, Educated Guess, Mionetto, Joseph Carr, and Cherry Pie to name a few. In 2012, the Wine Enthusiast awarded David Biggar “Innovator of the Year”. Vintage Point emphasizes that “Partners in Wine” signifies not only the relationship of the two founding partners, but the many long-term partnerships they have enjoyed with independent, luxury wine producers and the specialty wine trade that supports them. These brand partnerships may be from Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, the Pacific Northwest, and select import markets. In an era of increased wine industry consolidation and globalization the divide between commercial wine and fine wine is greater than ever before. Large wine corporations are tightly focused on big brands and big retail customers. In this business environment, small wineries, restaurateurs, and specialty retailers are at competitive disadvantage and often get little distributor attention to their business needs. Vintage Point is constructed around a wine commerce that values the special experience of wine and respects the individuality of smaller wine producers.
